Puddle Play!

We have been getting quite a lot of rain in our area this spring and fall, which is really wonderful considering we live in a farm / ranch area! The grass is tall for sure. The other day after we got a good soaking, the kids went to play in the puddles. They really had a blast splashing, dancing and goofing around!

HELP...I have a t-shirt addiction!

OK...It all started when I received a t-shirt that I had longed for from my sister Abby for Christmas. She had my name for Christmas...and I instructed her it would be easy to shop for me, because all she had to do was take a peek at my etsy favs! One goodie on my list was a wonderful t-shirt called "Inventing Toast".

I was so very happy when I unwrapped this super shirt! I love, love it! So...I also got money for Christmas and I decided that I HAD to have more of these quirky shirts. Today I bought three more...yay! Here they are...

Yippee...both kids are now in school!

I am so excited to say that both of my kids are now in school!

My daughter is in the second grade.

My son is in kindergarten.

I have long been waiting for the day when I could have the day ALL to myself! Now the question is, what do I do with myself? Well let's see here...there is always endless projects, not to mention all of the daily chores that need done. I plan to redo both of the kids rooms as well as mine, new paint, bedding, curtains, art and closet organizers. Oh goodness...I don't know where to start! After I get all of the rooms upstairs done, it will be time to tackle the basement. That will be a BIG project, as we have had LOTS of rain lately and on Friday it flooded the guest room! It was really a surreal moment when you walk downstairs and find what looks like a bath tub faucet turned on pouring from the window into the room. It took two shop vacs and the carpet shampooer to get the water under control. We ended up just going ahead and ripping out the carpet in the guest room that night, but we still need to scrap the pad up. I had planned to rip up all of the carpet in the basement eventually and just paint the floors and throw down some rugs, it will just have to happen a little sooner than I had planned. Well...I'd better go get to work now. Oh yeah...I do still have one helper at home, Indy.

We're Back!

Oh goodness...we had such a great time in Disney World! We got to meet Mickey, Minnie, Donald Duck, Daisy, Snow White, Dopey, Goofy, Pluto, Mary Poppins and Cinderella! When we got there on the first day we went straight to the Magic Kingdom and got busy riding rides and meeting with many of the characters! We stayed until the park closed at 2 a.m.!

I was amazed at how much walking we did, and the kids were such troopers, they walked every step with us (no strollers needed)! All of the adults (Me, Clint, my mom Beth and step dad Monty) all got blisters on our feet, but we pushed on each day! I hope to share more stories and pictures of our trip in the coming days...so stay tuned!

Shop at Envi...buy my stuff :)

I have been meaning to share a wonderful shop that I am now a part of called Envi! My wonderful friend Cindy Perry was for a long time telling me of this wonderful little shop. It is located in Colorado Springs (Old Colorado City) and she drives by it as she goes to her little cabin in Manitou Springs. So one weekend early in June she took me to check it out! It is truly a fun, funky little shop. After browsing around for awhile and getting enough courage to talk to the shop owner, I asked if I could show him some of the goodies that I make. He readily agreed, so I ran to get the box of items that I had brought along! He took a peek at all of the goodies and was very excited with what I had brought, so he called his wife (she does all of the buying for the store) to come down and have a look as well. When she got there she liked the goodies to! I was expecting to have them just consign some of my items, but instead they just bought many items at my wholesale prices. I am so glad that they are going to do wholesale orders, that way I won't have to worry about tracking the inventory each month. They even placed an order that very day for more goodies. I am so excited to be a part of this shop...so if you are ever in Colorado Springs please stop in to Envi and have a peek.

You can visit their website and view more photos, and get more information about this wonderful shop ~ http://www.envi.biz

Sweet Memories

A picture of me and my brother and sisters in 1986 at the lakes! I am the oldest, and I am the one on the far right. Growing up we spent pretty much every Sunday at the lakes with my grandma and grandpa Springer. We would swim all day long and try our hand at fishing with grandpa Springer and my great grandpa Lawrence. Those were the days and I have so many sweet memories of those times! Now that I am married and have two kids, I don't get to the lakes much any more. I hope that this summer we can go more and create some sweet memories with our children at the lakes! Do you have any sweet memories of the lakes?

Comic Book Pendants

We all know a few of these types...the Mr. Know-it-all!

A funny pendant to wear on one of your YAY days! :)

This kissing couple pendant I listed on Dawanda the other day! I thought that I would see if I have any luck selling it on there! It seems that etsy is getting so HUGE that things don't get noticed as much as they used to! When I first started selling on etsy, it seemed that right away after listing, an item would have 20+ views. Items now only seem to get about 10 views right after listing it. I guess I'll just have to see what happens on Dawanda...it can't hurt to get my stuff out there in another market place!
