Custom Shadow Boxes that I Created

OK...now that the holidays are over, maybe now i can get back to posting on a regular basis. As i said before, i was really busy with custom shadow box orders (16 boxes total) this holiday season, so i wanted to share what i made! Here are 8 custom boxes that i did for a gal. The picture inside is of her mother and father, and she gave them to her brothers and sisters for Christmas. I choose to do all 8 boxes with different backgrounds, and i love the way each one turned out. Which one is your favorite?

Best Friends...Soldered Shadow Box

FOR SALE IN MY SHOP...www.lanisvintage.etsy.com

Need a gift for your best friend?

This wonderful little piece of art is a beautiful unique soldered shadow box.

**EACH SHADOW BOX WILL COMES WITH A STAND, JUST LIKE THE ONE PICTURED BELOW!**

This piece measures 3" X 2" X ½" deep. The little girls inside the box are raised from the background to give the piece more dimension. Included inside is 2 little typed words that read - friends and 2 words read BFF. I've also added two tiny ivory buttons. I love to give each of my shadow boxes some sparkle, so I've added some yellow German glass glitter.

Each piece will come signed and numbered by me. This shadow box is #10 for this year so watch for more coming soon! ;)

Made For Mom

I always struggle with what to get mom for Mothers Day, it seems that she already has everything! This Mothers Day I wanted to make her something so that it would be a one-of-a-kind gift! A while back a customer wanted me to make her a soldered glass banner with some paper inserts that she had made. I loved the way they turned out, so I thought that I would make one for mom!

The back on the banner...

I am also making one for my mother-in-law, I just need to get it soldered! Off to get it finished...later!

Comic Book Pendants

We all know a few of these types...the Mr. Know-it-all!

A funny pendant to wear on one of your YAY days! :)

This kissing couple pendant I listed on Dawanda the other day! I thought that I would see if I have any luck selling it on there! It seems that etsy is getting so HUGE that things don't get noticed as much as they used to! When I first started selling on etsy, it seemed that right away after listing, an item would have 20+ views. Items now only seem to get about 10 views right after listing it. I guess I'll just have to see what happens on Dawanda...it can't hurt to get my stuff out there in another market place!

New Pendants!

I ordered some new glass beads the other day, and I just couldn't wait to get something made from them! These glass beads are about 1.25" round and they are flat on both sides. The other large glass beads that I was using was flat on one side and a round dome on the other side. I was buying my old beads from the floral / wedding section of Hobby Lobby and in each sack would be only a few that I could actually use. Lots of them had scratches, nicks, or were iodized. I am loving the new beads because they have no scratches, nicks and they are non-Iridized. Well anyways...here are three charms that I made with the new glass.

P.S. If you are interested in purchasing any of these pendants they are available for sale in my etsy shop~ www.lanisvintage.etsy.com

Just wanted to share a new little creation! I just listed it for sale on Etsy today! It is a little shadow box that has the sweetest little girl locked inside! I named the piece "Unlock your Dreams". Let me know if you think I should make more little shadow boxes!
