While checking my e-mail this morning, I got a message from a wonderful seller on etsy that she had included my "Cowgirl" night light in her tresury! This seller is HeartofaCowgirl and she has wonderful western jewelry in her etsy shop...so check her out!
Lately I've gotten three requests to make western pieces. So I have decided to offer a line of western pendants and night lights. I already had a cowboy night light and now I have designed a cowgirl one as well.
Here are a few of the pendants I have for the line so far.
Just wanted to share a new night light that I've created. I had been wanting to make one in the shape of a little house for some time now, and finally got around to getting one completed. I am very pleased at how this one turned out, and I would like to create more like it...what do you think of it?
P.S. If you are interested in this little cottage light it is for sale...just contact me!
In the empty Town park no children for to play This surely is a dying Town it has known a better day A place of little commerce the facts they never lie The ageing population here will grow old and die.
The young people keep leaving for places far away There are no jobs worth talking of to keep them here to stay A Town with few young people is a Town in decay Two decades from a ghost Town it would be fair to say.
No smoke from factory chimneys for to pollute the air A healthy environment to live in and such places are rare But in a healthy place to live in businesses are closing down To be once a place of commerce is it's one claim to renown.
An old Town off of the highway it's better days long gone With an ageing population time on them ticking on Many of them in their fifties with thinning silver hair And the young people keep leaving their future is elsewhere.
I am finally back in the swing of things. As many of you may have noticed I have missed posting my Wednesday Wish List for the past 2 weeks! My old computer got a virus and so we had to purchase a new computer. I am still getting familiarized with the new one, so that has taken a bit of time. Anyways...here is finally another Wish List, enjoy!
This Wednesday I wanted to take some time and share with all of my readers a wonderful shopping experience that will be coming online very soon, LolliShops is a juried, online selling venue for talented artists, collectors of vintage and art supply vendors. LolliShops will appeal to those who love...
... artists will enjoy setting up their own, customizable store fronts while LolliShops patrons enjoy feeling like a kid in a Candy Store!
Lollishops will be available in Beta on the 15th of November and we will be officially live on the 28th. You can apply to be a vendor (remember to mention my name on the application - Lani Robertson of Objects Of Affection).
On Tuesday the kids got their pumpkins carved, and as always they are spooktacular! One of their favorite jobs is cleaning out the pumpkin guts...and Riley being the jokester that he is made lots of funny faces.
Madison was a bit more serious about the task at hand.
Oh...how I wish I could go to Silver Bella! It would be wonderful to go play and create with so many creative women, not to mention all of the fabulous vendors that will be selling their wares! I am excited to be able to send 10 goodie bags with my fun map charms!
Sadie Hartman, the creator of the soon to be launched Lollishops, will be handing out lots of goodies from future Lollishops vendors! So if you are lucky enough to attend, you must stop by Sadie's booth (Sadie Lou Who)and get your goodie sack from one of 50 super great shops!
Check out these latest little charms. They come from the back of vintage children's books...the "word lists". I will be listing some of them very soon in my etsy shop www.objectsofaffection.etsy.com...so be on the lookout!
I have lots more that I need to get soldered as well!

This weekend we enjoyed the Kiowa County Fair, and it got me reminiscing about my youth. I found this picture of my bother, sisters and I at the Sand & Sage fair in 1984! We were quite the crew. I am 5 years old in this photo, my sister Hannah is 4, my brother Dusty just turned 3 and my youngest sister Abby is 1. We attended the fair every year and when we got old enough we joined 4-H and each of us showed 2 sheep each! My mom must of been crazy, because not only was she raising all 4 of us kids on her own (my dad drowned when I was only 5) she also had 8 sheep to worry about each year. Sheep take quite a lot of work to...you have to not only feed and water them every day, you have keep them sheared and take them on walks each day! When the fair would roll around I always thought I was ready to be done with all of the chores they involved, yet after I showed them and sold them, I would sit in their pen and cry. Oh goodness...that was so long ago and what wonderful memories I still hold from all of the fairs I attended!
So...I was checking out etsy this morning (like I do every morning) and noticed that they have a Halloween Gift Guide! I popped in to have a look and found that my "boo" earrings are included...yay! I have a few Halloween pieces listed, but haven't sold any of them yet...maybe it is still a bit early?
My nephew Evan is now a big brother! I just got the call from my mom...my sister had a boy! Rowan Avery is his name and he weighed 8 pounds 14.5 ounces. I've been waiting for the news this morning...and now I need to go get in the shower and run to the school to tell my daughter. I was instructed to let her know right when I found out. I think she might be a little disappointed...as she was hoping for a girl cousin. It is funny...through out my sister's pregnancy I was thinking she would have a girl, but today I could only think that it would be a boy! We are going to Denver to meet him tonight...I can hardly wait! :) I will try to post pictures soon.
Oh happy day! My sister's due date for baby #2 is today! Of course, who knows if baby will come today or not...we'll see. She is scheduled to have a c-section on Friday at 7 a.m., and I can't wait to meet baby. We do not know if she will have a boy or girl, so I kept the wish list gender neutral. All the goodies included are things I would like to buy once we meet baby. My nephew is going to be a big bother...yay!
