Affection...Needs a Home!
Last Saturday I found the cutest little kitty at my shop, Objects Of Affection! I have named him Affection, because of where he was found and because he is also a little lover! I have thought about keeping him; however, my husband is allergic and I think that my daughter might me allergic too. My dog Indy is not to keen on me keeping him either...she is very jealous. I have another cat, Thomas, he lives outside and I am afraid if I put the kitten outside with him he would not be so happy either! I've asked several of my friends if they would take him, but they already have lots of kittens on their farms and ranches. So if you live in Colorado (or know of someone in Colorado), or western Kansas, and would like to give this kitty a good home please let me know!

Wowee-ka-zowee!
Wowee-ka-zowie...that was fast! I've already sold the tweet, tweet bird magnet! I went to my etsy shop to see how many views it had, and it was already sold, yay! Now let's see if the same thing can happen with the elephant magnet! I'm off to package up the birdie and send him off to his new family! :)
Just listed...and more to come!
I just listed this little tweet, tweet birdie in my etsy shop (www.lanisvintage.etsy.com). That little birdie is one of my favorites! These glass magnets have really been a hit...I've sold 13 so far. I have lots more to list too. I am going to try to save some for my lollishop, once it is up and running. Here are a few more that I will soon be listing...

Yippee...both kids are now in school!
I am so excited to say that both of my kids are now in school!
My daughter is in the second grade.
My son is in kindergarten.
I have long been waiting for the day when I could have the day ALL to myself! Now the question is, what do I do with myself? Well let's see here...there is always endless projects, not to mention all of the daily chores that need done. I plan to redo both of the kids rooms as well as mine, new paint, bedding, curtains, art and closet organizers. Oh goodness...I don't know where to start! After I get all of the rooms upstairs done, it will be time to tackle the basement. That will be a BIG project, as we have had LOTS of rain lately and on Friday it flooded the guest room! It was really a surreal moment when you walk downstairs and find what looks like a bath tub faucet turned on pouring from the window into the room. It took two shop vacs and the carpet shampooer to get the water under control. We ended up just going ahead and ripping out the carpet in the guest room that night, but we still need to scrap the pad up. I had planned to rip up all of the carpet in the basement eventually and just paint the floors and throw down some rugs, it will just have to happen a little sooner than I had planned. Well...I'd better go get to work now. Oh yeah...I do still have one helper at home, Indy.

What a wonderful friend...
I just have to tell you about one of my best etsy friends, Melissa Jackson (www.mjalteredart.etsy.com). After we got home from Disney World, I went to check the mail and discovered a wonderful little present from Melissa. She sent me the nicest handmade card along with some stunning earrings...what a treat!
I am actually wearing the earrings today along with my favorite shirt that I purchased from another great etsy shop Pretty Raccoon Clothing (www.PrettyRaccoon.etsy.com).
Don't you think that the earrings and shirt belong together?

We're Back!
Oh goodness...we had such a great time in Disney World! We got to meet Mickey, Minnie, Donald Duck, Daisy, Snow White, Dopey, Goofy, Pluto, Mary Poppins and Cinderella! When we got there on the first day we went straight to the Magic Kingdom and got busy riding rides and meeting with many of the characters! We stayed until the park closed at 2 a.m.!
I was amazed at how much walking we did, and the kids were such troopers, they walked every step with us (no strollers needed)! All of the adults (Me, Clint, my mom Beth and step dad Monty) all got blisters on our feet, but we pushed on each day! I hope to share more stories and pictures of our trip in the coming days...so stay tuned!
